Exactly the same issue for me (Kobo Aura HD).
Toooo bad, because I'm french, and I'm reading exclusively in english on my ebook to improve my english level... so I need to translate words
very often.
Now, instead of proposing me a translation, my Kobo goes back to the previous page, of switch to the next (thinking may be i'm a slow reader).
I can ensure you that this issue is reproducible, and reproduced a lot indeed.
I'm currently ot 60% of the 2nd book of "a song of ice and fire", so it will be a long way juggling with these aleas...
