I have now done a factory reset, copied a couple of books (calibre, and the 5 automatically downloaded from my kobo account) and the difference is huge! It's a lot faster in response (everything, including page turns). Highlighting works great for the tests I just made.
Very interesting.
Now I wished I hade tested the db for corruption before, in order to see if that was the case, or if the system can "rot" over time, manually adding updates, etc.
Any ideas?
