Clarifying button usage for reboot and factory reset

I heard back (very promptly) from the Kobo online help folks. Didn't address my complaint of the cover - do they cover developers never talk to the device designers??? - but did a nice job of explaining the button functionality. Put together with post (davidfor) on how to do a Factory reset with the power button and pressing the side of the case, and there may be an entire solution!

Factory Reset: "From off, hold the power button down and tap the bottom corners of the screen will do a factory reset. Everything will be wiped and you will be prompted to set the device up again."

from the Kobo Help folks:
"Before attempting these steps, please ensure your Kobo Glo HD has been charged for a minimum of three (3) hours and then try powering it off and on.

Try a simple reboot of the device:
1. Hold down the power button for eight seconds and release it.
2. Press the power button once more firmly to reboot the device."
