Former Agnostic Criticizes Secularism and Defends Christianity in this Bargain Ebook.

There were many more markdowns of religious books (that I ran across, at least) than usual today, because of B&H marking down a sizable batch of their's. Unfortunately, I didn't feel like I had the time tonight to post but one or two. This one "made the cut."

The author criticizes secularism and defends historic Christianity in this big 341-page book. Usually, with that topic being such a polarizing one, a book of this kind would struggle to get 4 stars; however, this one gets almost 5 stars (4.8)! I'm thinking that something has to be special about it.

One thing for sure that is special is the markdown--it's a big 89%, making the price of this Kindle ebook only $2.99.

Saving Leonardo: A Call to Resist the Secular Assault on Mind, Morals, and Meaning. By Nancy Pearcey. Rated 4.8 stars, from 76 reviews at the present time. Print list price $26.99; digital list price $26.99; Kindle price now $2.99. B&H Books, publisher. 341 pages. http://www.amazon.com/Saving-Leonard...J4E7122YN1SXVB.

Book Description
Is secularism a positive force in the modern world? Or does it lead to fragmentation and disintegration? In Saving Leonardo, best-selling award-winning author Nancy Pearcey (Total Truth, coauthor How Now Shall We Live?) makes a compelling case that secularism is destructive and dehumanizing.

Pearcey depicts the revolutionary thinkers and artists, the ideas and events, leading step by step to the unleashing of secular worldviews that undermine human dignity and liberty. She crafts a fresh approach that exposes the real-world impact of ideas in philosophy, science, art, literature, and film--voices that surround us in the classroom, in the movie theater, and in our living rooms.

A former agnostic, Pearcey offers a persuasive case for historic Christianity as a holistic and humane alternative. She equips readers to counter the life-denying worldviews that are radically restructuring society and pervading our daily lives. Whether you are a devoted Christian, determined secularist, or don't know quite where you stand, reading
Saving Leonardo will unsettle established views and topple ideological idols. Includes more than 100 art reproductions and illustrations that bring the book's themes to life.
