Today was a long horrible day. I got a phone call from a Police deputy at 3:30AM that the girl who suppose to be taking care of my mom while sis in the hospital was no where to be found and she had popped the window screen and left it open and disappeared. They found her in town walking. It turns out she had stolen alot of my mom's things and she had multiple warrants out for her arrest. The deputy actually ask me if my mom would be okay by herself so he could take the woman to jail. If not he would overlook the warrants for now. He couldn't tell me what they were and there was no way I could let that woman stay with my mom after that. So on no sleep I and hubby drove 30 minutes to where mom is to make sure she was okay. The police have been phenomenal today. Patrolling and checking up on mom as we ran so many errands for her. We were afraid the woman and her boyfriend would retaliate and her stuff was still at mom's till we delivered it to her son. It was super stressful. I have talk to a few social workers and no one is really being any help. This woman broke the washer, the toilet and turn off the fridge(Mom lost all her food!) and left the stove burners on! I talked to this woman last night before all of this and got a feeling she was high as she couldn't stop giggling at nothing. I mean it was everything was super funny no matter what was being said.I just had a bad feeling after that and couldn't sleep. She is a friend of a friend who we trusted and even know that friend is blowing it off.
Now I have to get the state involved as I know not what to do. I did not moved here to put my mom in a nursing home. I have no choice if I can't find someone to come in and like I said the two social workers from health system and DRA were no help other then one calling to see if this one nursing home was open. I feel horrible and helpless and just want to cry no one else will help but thank goodness for the Police like I said they have really been checking on her and they even helped put her dogs up when they got loose. The police will continue to patrol her street till we don't need them anymore.
On a good note I think I will buy a book to make myself feel better. My sister passed her stress test! So that means Thursday they will finally do the surgery as it keeps getting moved. She could be home by Monday.
