Also, even though I was told in the future they would have bonus redemptions to offer higher priced titles for the "free" book—for more than 5000 points obviously—that there are "no plans to do so currently".

I've been saving up my points as the Sharpe & Donovan series releases first in hardcover, so the ebook is pricey. Thankfully it looks like it will be $9.99 retail rather than the $20+ they've been in the past. I used to use my ARe 10-for-1 to get them. Bummed that it misses the $8.99 freebie cutoff by just $1 I'd even be willing to spend 10000 points to get the $9.99 - $15.99 books.
