Use the plugboard with a Kindle
IMHO Series should NOT depend on a single author (in other words, do not put into Author folders).
I have hundreds of books where the series would be broken up using your scheme. Not all Authors participate in every work, not always the same ones

Primary Author, Book Author1
Book Author1, Primary Author < author1 solo work in Primaries world or finiched a deceased authors manuscript
Book Author2, Primary Author
Book Author1 < the Primary author had introduced a protege previously
