So basically none of the Sony wiki reset tips worked?

Does anyone know if this is indicative of a "bricked" unit? any specific PRS700 recovery?

Sorry, I don't own a Sony, so this is a bit out of my league. However, being in Canada, I could help get it "repaired"....
