Keeping credits requires a paid membership. The least expensive membership is $10 per year. Under this plan, you don't earn any new credits. It will allow you to keep your current credits and spend them when you want.
Another option is to put your membership on hold for three months. During this time, you won't be charged for any new credits and you'll be allowed to keep the credits you already have.
