I know the Voyage can translate a whole block of text like google translate, at least, it can do it into English. Not sure if the PW can do it. I saw this on a video comparison of the Kobo Glo HD and the Kindle Voyage on thegoodereader.com

In any case, the Kindle dictionaries are better than the Kobos.

Alternatively, if you can pick up a cheap Sony T1-3 on ebay, it also has excellent multi-lingual dictionaries.
