A. Get the smallest lightest cover for the Kindle you can.
B. Then get a slender attache case or a larger briefcase, depending on how much stuff you need to carry.
C. Since you don't want a suit with pockets, buy the baggy cargo pants with huge side pockets and a vest loaded with pockets. The vests often have a large pounch in the back so you could carry a few sandwiches, too.

A kindle cover is not intended to replace a suit, an attache case, or a wheelie suitcase.
