The biggest problem with Win 8.1 is figuring the bleeeping thing out . As you said, the help isn't really helpful. Once you get used to it though, it's pretty good for tablet use and really does become pretty intuitive and handy. I can see how I would have passionately HATED it if I had got it on a laptop 1st, but having used it on tablet first the transition wasn't hard. Of course I went from a Blackberry Playbook to Windows tablet so some things (like swiping to switch between windows) I was already used to.

Stick with it and it gets easier!
