This seems to be the default location that the Audiobooks.com app uses. On many Android devices, /sdcard points to internal storage, and I don't know how you would make it point to an actual SD card if you put one in. The directory should be visible from a file manager such as ES File Explorer or File Expert, or from a computer when you connect with a USB cable.
