I went from a PW1 to a Voyage. The screen is higher resolution, the lighting is more even, and the brightness and has a larger range. I did not have eye strain problems with the PW1, however, so cannot say for sure whether the better screen will help. Personally, I am very happy with the upgrade, and very much like the auto brightness feature, which is tweakable.
