I have a Paperwhite 1 waiting to go to my sister's friend. I have a new Paperwhite 2. And I have a Voyage I bought last year but didn't receive until February.
For me, the amaing change in Kindle ereaders was the Paperwhite 1. The Paperwhite 2 was a nice improvement in resolution and screen lighting. The Voyage is, for me, a modest step up from the Paperwhite 2. The screen is a little brighter and the contrast is a little higher but I enjoy reading both. For me, the size of the Voyage is not a plus. I'm more comfortable holding and reading the Paperwhite. I do like the button on the Voyage on the back. Kindle has done a great job hiding the power button on the Paperwhites.
If you can't find a Voyage to try out, you can order one from Amazon and have thirty days to return it. For me, if I lose a Kindle the replacement would be a Paperwhite 2.
