Even maps included can be compressed correctly to still appear at great quality without getting into the overkill sizes that bloat the book. But it seems whoever does the images for ebooks knows nothing about image compression.
When one of my kobo's open the book,it doesn't even show the cover.
it jumps directly to the first page.
Most of the time, ebooks are just the graphical files that would be used to print the paper book (therefor the quality of the pictures) and then are converted to ebooks.
Last time, I had one where the entire book was been written with color gray tags, not in the css but in the html files.. Sigil and Calibre had to help me to make a readable book of it.

That, man that would be a very great idea !!!
Ok it has not much to do with the Glo HD here,in that "form" that you can have such a great reader, when the books are made so bad, any 300 DPI reader can't make it better so returning to that,if you are thinking, I want a Glo HD because this books are displayed so bad, jump in the source to see if it is the reader, or the poor quality of the ebook.. if it is the last, you will be disappointed with a new reader like the Glo HD.
