Did you copy the entire "calibre" folder from a backup location? I only ask because when I reformatted my computer over a year ago I just copied my backed-up folder over to the roaming folder and all of my plugins were still there when I opened Calibre. I didn't have to reinstall them.

Did your calibre folder backup have a subfolder named "plugins"? I thought that is where all the info was kept.

Maybe ask in the Calibre forum. They are much more knowledgeable than I am. Also super friendly.
