http://www.twcslibrary.net/viewstory.php?sid=9535[27,] would work just as well. The &chapter= will get stripped off.

You're the first one I've heard of to do it that way. I think most of us prefer to have the whole story.

FanFicFare 'normalizes' the URLs to the story form so it can remove dups when there's more than one URL to the same story in the email. For example, AO3 notification emails have links to both the story start and the latest chapter.

I could conceivably add an option to suppress the normalization on email fetch, but then AO3 notices would give dup URLs again--which was the whole point.

I believe you may misremember it.

Both Make Anthology Epub from Web Page and Get Story URLs from Web Page start with a single line dialog for the page URL to get story URLs from. Then after that page is fetched and parsed, you are presented with the multi-line dialog with story URLs pre-filled. It's always worked that way--the only recent changes have been busy cursor and the addition of the redundant Make Anthology Epub from Web Page menu option for added clarity.
