If you have a lot of custom columns, and you have a lo res screen, the comments may not be visible in the Book Information panel because they are
always placed last.
If the Book Details panel appeared under the carousel when in Narrow mode, as I assumed it would, then the OP could deselect all the not-required columns in Look & Feel.
I also note that Brown Book and Black Arrow icons swap positions when Narrow mode is selected - which is also a bit odd.
