... except when they didn't. If you were unlucky enough to own a PRST1 (which I did), bold and italics didn't work reliably when using anything other than the (really poor) default font. Sony never bothered to fix this basic problem for PRST1 owners, deciding to restrict it to PRST2 devices.
Luckily a generous MR hacker did provide a fix for those not averse to tweaking their devices. He informed us that it was a 2-line fix. Thanks, Sony, very professional. So you see my Sony memories are not as rosy as yours.
