There is the Internet Watch list of child porn sites that all UK ISPs block.
There are court-ordered blocks for copyright infringement.
And then there are ISP-run block lists which an adult subscriber can opt out of.
You should not mix them up, as your article does.

Yep. I've crossed off the second half of the post and disavowed it.
I still think this move was pointless. It didn't block the content, just access to search engines and link sites.
