Right, there won't be a mandatory Windows 10 update until Windows 8.1 is EOL'd --- that happening to Windows XP is what has me scrambling to find a replacement for my Fujitsu Stylistic ST-4121 (see post above).
Not looking forward to repeating the process on the Toshiba in 2023.
(Yes, I do use my machines for over a decade when possible)
