Perhaps the Authors will come to realize that with the internet they can market ebooks, and make money, even without there being a pbook. If they get popular enough they can do what established musicians and actors do, create their own "record label" or "production company". The technology puts the Authors in the position to "do it on their own", if they learn how and get the right help. Fan based editing/checking can work. Someday there will be: "From the hit e-book to a Major Motion Picture, in a theater near you, soon" Actually, I expect the theater might be gone and it be streamed or on whatever replaces DVDs.
