@chaley - He'll still have his IPad, I suspect he'll probably continue with that for his newspaper and magazine reading. He uses a news aggregator - ¿Renaissance?

His friend had a Nook 'passed on to him', that's what he's taken with, especially for reading books. So yes, an e-ink device is definitely what they want.
