When you say that 'the page changes from pressure" has the page actually changed or is the display dimmed with "PAGE _XXX " displayed, waiting for an enter keypress?
If the latter is true, you can press "menu" to remain on your original page. If your page
has changed pressing the left-arrow on the joypad (history back) should return you to your original page.
You can also use PRSCustomizer to turn off number keys when reading (but lose the ability to go directly to a page). They remain functional otherwise.
