An incident that you might find interesting . . . . A neighbor of mine was a career soldier in Army Special Forces--I have forgotten what rank that he had attained when he retired. I didn't know him very long before he died of throat cancer. But, over and over again, he mentioned to me that he met all of the requirements, and was all set to be buried at Arlington when he died. It was almost like he was looking forward to it! All of his close family--wife, brothers, sisters knew what he wanted. Well, when he died, his family decided that he ought to be buried in a cemetery in the state here, so they could "go and see him more often," and that's where they buried him! On top of that, his wife didn't think that the rest of the family even cared enough about him to ever go "see" him! The cemetery where he was buried is a national cemetery, but of course it is nothing compared to Arlington!
