I have the same issue with LRF files and Calibre. This issue appears to be caused by the last firmware update I installed from Sony. I thought at first this issue may have been related to the Calibre software, but I just tried using an old version of Calibre (installed on another computer) that was known to have worked with my original 505 firmware, but I am experiencing the same issue.

I am able to fetch news with Calibre and read it using the LRF reader, but when trying to read it on my 505, it freezes during formatting and my 505 reboots. Before when it would do this my 505 could read the file after the reboot, but now it reboots every time I try to open any LRF created with Calibre.

I am able to read LRF files downloaded from the Sony E-book store, but not LRF files created with Calibre. EPUB files created with Calibre seem to work okay also.

My 505 firmware version is 1.1.00.18040

P.S. -- I have tried resetting the 505 using the pinhole button on the back, but it does not seem to resolve this issue.
