I was at her reading of the first chapter (maybe first two) at Minicon over Easter. IIRC, the book starts out 3 years after Aral's death with Cordelia returning to Sergyar and meeting with Aral's former aide Admiral Jole. No spoilers, but I don't think this will be on a sad/rabid puppy slate for the Hugo's in 2017.
