The Kindle DXG is really well built and at least for mine, the battery still seems to last about a couple of weeks per charge.
I dusted it off and my partner has been reading on it, since the untimely demise of another Kobo Aura HD. The screen has noticeably less contrast and the software is a bit primitive compared to current readers, but the screen size is great and the things still works perfectly.
To boot, now that she has been reading on the 9.7" screen for a bit, my partner did not want to go to the 6" Kindle Voyage, even though it looks like a very nice unit. Flat out refused
Since large screen and backlight is a must, and I am not going back to Kobo for more punishment, I am looking at the Hanvon E930.
