I'm on 3.6.7c. Have been through two cycles, with the delete window set to 1 and now it is set to 0. When set to 1, it works perfectly as intended, although I had already (prior to install) deleted my old news. I just tried 0 days, and it also appears to work just as intended. But.. some comments-
My news sources include daily items (New York Times, Boston Globe) and some monthly sources (PC Magazine, Smithsonian Magazine, etc.) So, there is not a single setting for the delete window that works for both.
I think that we need to rethink the objective a bit. Either we need to be able to set multiple windows such as daily for some sources, and monthly/weekly, etc. for others, or we need a different approach. For instance, if Calibre downloads Time Magazine once per week, Companion could detect that a new version (by date) is available, and sync that to the device and remove the older version as well. For me, I would only want one version at a time, but others may want the two most recent, etc. Thus from my perspective, comments are invited- and I hope that is OK with Chaley.
