First post here.

So, I have had my Glo HD for about a week now. I can only compare it to Kindle PW2 and here is my (hopefully unbiased) comparison (well, I did patch Glo HD, so it's not quite out of the box comparison).

Glo HD vs PW2:
Pros:
Customization - especially after being patched
Screen - side by side Glo HD is a clear winner - text is very crisp. I was fine with reading on PW2, until I had them next to each other. PW2 looks blurry and "greyish". You know what they say, once you go "HD" you never come back
Weight - Glo HD is lighter than PW2 (and a little smaller)
Light - Glo HD screen light is brighter
Covers - can use covers from regular Glo (not sure if it's a pros, but it gives a larger selection of available cases)

Draw:
Price - paid the same for both
Form factor - about the same (give or take)

Cons:
Build quality - Glo HD feels "plastic" cheaply made compared to PW2
Responsiveness - this one is a little annoying. Page turn lag (I'm using kepub now, but it was similar on sideloaded epubs). Another thing that I hate is that it literally takes 2-3 sec to look up a word in the dictionary and half of the time it doesn't even register that I am holding my finger on specific word (the other 50% it turns page instead)
Dictionary - PW2 has a large selection of very good dictionaries that can be switched on the fly. Glo HD? Not so much.
Screen refresh - not a big issue, but to get rid of the artifacts I had to set refresh page count to 5 on Glo HD, while PW2 is fine with every 6th page.

My verdict after one week of use - I'll keep Glo HD and pass PW2 to my wife. I dislike Glo HD sluggish response and misregistration of finger touches (page turns/dictionary look up/highlights), but because of a very nice screen and (to a lesser degree) customization I still think that Glo HD is a better reader overall (build quality is a minor thing for me, especially considering price). I just really hope that Kobo will fix touch response in the next S/W release (3.16?)
