Hello,
I open a thread to share my investigations (hello "future-self")
I encountered an issue with my Orizon.
It was not recognized by my Operating System.
Configuration :
Motherboard : ASUS M5A99FX
http://hpics.li/fe4f423
(USB ports are identified with USB Device Tree Viewer (x64) v2.5.1.0)
O.S. Windows 8.1 x64
Orizon with firmware 3.1, fully charged
Protocol and issue :
Switching on Orizon, waiting x minutes to the homepage.
Connecting to any of the USB ports, I get error message Not Recognized.
Nothing is showing in the Explorer.
USB Device Tree Viewer shows an error related to Descriptor Request.
Device Manager says the same.
Solution :
Unplug as many other USB devices as possible.
Plus into USB 3.0 Port identified à 3-4 on the picture (top right port).
You need to close and reopen USB Device Tree Viewer as Refresh may not work.
You also need to ensure that cable is bent so that Orizon light stays orange.
A green light means that connection is lost (Orizon physical port failure).
The Not Recognozed appears as a yellow icon on USB Device Tree Viewer.
Open Windows Device Manager, disable ASMedia, enable ASMedia.
And now the issue is gone and Cybook appears in Explorer. Magic...
