The faster I write the more time I spend reviewing, editing, rewriting, etc.

I'm sure there's an ideal equilibrium point, but I'm inclined to think I need to spend more time up front.

All kidding aside, there's a wide variation in speed (and efficiency) from writer to writer. I'm definitely on the "more time up front" end of things.
