Hi. I just got a month-old Sony 505 reader from someone who needed the cash more than the books, I guess. I paid $150 including case and charger, so I think I got a good deal. I was looking at the Kindle, but decided against because 1) it's sold out; 2) don't need the wireless newspaper access as I have web access 24/7 anyway; 3) loved the look and feel of the 505; 4) would rather download free public domain books and rent from library than buy Amazon copies.

Anyway, I'm sure I'll have a few questions along the way. I'm using a Mac at home, so I got Calibre right away, and seem to be off to a good start.
