I'm trying to remember the last time I wore a tie...
I know I wore one with my Military uniform... I had a job with a menswear company right afterwards for about a year, and I wore one for that ... I think that may have been the last time. So about 1969. The Admin at my university in Japan told me that all Japanese professors must wear a tie. I told them I was American and wore motorcycle leathers... Oops! I forgot. I had to buy and wear a black tie for my father-in-law's funeral in Japan about 10 years ago. I had to buy the suit to go with it as I didn't have any of those either.
Silly clothing.
