That will work fine, but it is "bad practice" -- it teaches people who don't understand the tool to directly manipulate something that calibre maintains, outside of calibre. What happens when they use the same trick to fix the author name or title inside the library? Very Bad Things(tm) -- yeah, did that early on.

Menu "toadd" -> Rename Library is fewer steps and teaches how to use calibre correctly.
