Just did some very unsystematic tests on getting a document from OO to EPUB. There seem to be two choices of plugin, plus the route via Calibre.

I took a document - book style, no graphics - that arrived with me as PDF. Exported to Word DOC, opened in OO, saved as OD-something-or-other. Two of the export routes (including Calibre) resulted in very messy code, each word defined as a separate span. The third gave a pretty clean result.

I'm not going to say which plugin was best, from this very limited data. Do your own research!
