First off, do you see the missing books in Kobo Desktop for PC?
Are you aware that you can download the kepub formatted ebooks that are in Kobo Desktop for PC into Calibre, by using the obok plugin?
Did you have Calibre installed in your previous PC? Did you have any/all your ebooks in Calibre? Did you have a copy/backup of Calibre?
Questions, questions, but it will help us to help you .....

Awh thanks for the help! I really appreciate it.
With the kobo desktop app, I see my books, but the app won't open PDF books, well it wont even download them. It instead gives me a pop up that says "Connection to Internet Problem", but all the other ones will download and open no problem. So yeah the ones I have been trying to download again even directly from kobo website, are all my very old PDF's.
As for Calibre, I have not a clue what that is.
I did not have everything backed up, I do now because I learned that lesson. I used to just download books, put them all in a file and open on Adobe Digital Editions because I buy from multiple sites. I lost what Adobe email or password I had used originally for my old account, so I had to make a new one, but the ones I can download from Kobo that are my older PDF's wont open in adobe anymore, which I get is an Adobe issue and not a kobo issue. The main problem I have with kobo right now is the old PDF's that refuse to download because it says i've reached my max number of times I can.
