10 Women Every Christian Should Know: Learning from Heroines of the Faith by Michelle DeRusha is a mini-collection of mini-biographies of inspiring female faith figures, free courtesy of Christian publisher Baker Books.
This is an "e-book short" cut down from the full-length
50 Women Every Christian Should Know, but it does provide about 60 pages worth of reasonably substantial articles about the women covered (ranging from Saint Teresa of Ávila, probably best known for writing what amounts to steamy self-insertion RPF starring herself as the Bride of Jesus, to more modern personages such as Corrie ten Boom, who helped hide Jews from the Nazis during the Dutch occupation), which puts it above the usual glorified chapter samplers, and seems like a reasonably decent mini-freebie which will let you decide whether you want to wishlist/splurge for the full thing.
This has previously been offered free in 2014, and every so often, the companion male-centric
10 People Every Christian Should Know: Learning From Spiritual Giants of the Faith goes free again.
