Kobo H2O...broken or not?

Hi all, wondering if anyone has had this experience (can't find info on the thread about it)...

I was reading the other day and turned it off accidentally, then back on immediately. Screen glowed, turned off, went to sleeping cover, back to page, then just froze. It's been like that since. Power light will come on but no change in the last read page onscreen and not able to adjust the light as in some other broken substrate problems. No cracks or lines on the screen; it just looks like it's switched on normally.

Not dropped, no rough treatment.

Factory reset making no difference.

Any ideas?
