I called Kobo earlier today and the agent agreed that I probably needed a replacement. Sent me email asking for a copy of the invoice, my address, etc.
So far the process has been quick and painless. Next to nothing hold time on the phone waiting and no arguments about "it should work", etc.
Now, I just have to wait to "get approved by the next level" so the exchange process can start. Hope it goes as good as the it's been.
