I made the script translation yesterday so I can't yet say about the battery life although my battery is still full (100%) after 13h in sleep, on my other devices it did improve battery life too but can't yet say about this one. Anyway the main improvements I get are: less lag, less apps crashing (chrome kept crashing after about 30 mins usage with just one tab), it also seems internet pages load faster....well mainly the device seems much smoother.

EDIT: WARNING! If you want to use Xposed and L Speed (at least on FOV's ported C67ML ROM) you must first disable the mount namespace separation option in SuperSU otherwise after installing Xposed and rebooting you will have no root and also no way to connect the device to the PC (either mtp or adb, just doesn't work) fortunately you still can uninstall Xposed even without root and reboot and fix it after.
