The prime features I hear people saying about their Kobos is the fine control you can have over fonts, display, formatting; and the open nature and tweakability of the device.
Also Calibre-controlled collections.
But Pocket is good too. I use it for SF stories from online magazines, and have not had any trouble with it not recognising them or displaying properly.
