I'd like to pick up an Ebook reader either Glo HD or Kindle Voyage.
As It turned out that LCD starts giving eye strains. In addition, I want to read couple of books with many graphs. Rather than printing the books, I decided to go with cheaper choice in the long term (trying to justify ~$200+ for a limited device with a monochrome screen! )
- Which one would you recommend in terms of durability/quality?
- Unfortunately, the device I am picking I won't be able to return.
How easy would it be to read PDF books (without using tools such as"k2pdfopt")?
- Do you think (clear/anti-glare) screen protector is necessary?
- Could you comment about using Pocket with Ereaders?
I can't tell from the pictures if the black is really black or just dark grey for these Ereader, so going to take my risk here.
Thanks in advance.

I don't recommend a Voyage if you plan to read pdf. The software is locked down. You can't customize it in any way. The Kobos can run Koreader and other 'hacks' that will allow you to customize your pdf reading experience. Also its a lot cheaper for a very comparable screen, and the front-light is a tad better. On the negative, the Kobo is a bit slower and the software more clunky.
