That is correct, though I think I always see them as 1%, but that isn't the situation I was talking about.

If the database on the device is backed up, a factory reset is done, then the database restored, it will contain references to all the books that were on the device before the factory reset. For sideloaded books, any that were not put back on the device in exactly the same place will be removed from the database. For downloaded kepubs, I don't know what happens if the file disappears. They could be removed from the dattabase like the sideloaded books, mark it as needing to be downloaded or something else. I don't remember testing this, so I don't know what happens.
