One option is to change the @page margin set by the publisher before slideloading the book. Two easy ways to do this in Calibre are: use the Modify ePub plugin to set the book margins from your Calibre settings; or add a @page margin to the kobo_extra.css and use the "Modify CSS" option in the KoboTouch driver to add it to each book's stylesheet automatically as it is sent to the device.

Another option is to use a patch. The `ePub fixed/adjustble top/bottom margins` patch allows you to set the @page top and bottom margins in the epub reader's built-in stylesheet, which overrides the publisher's @page margins in the book's stylesheet. The margins can either be a fixed size, or can be made adjustable to match the side margins set with the margin adjustment slider.
