I did root mine a while ago and soon found out that Google Play Store was wasting too much battery even when the device was sleep, so I had to disable it!
I use ES Process Explorer and the System menu's own Apps section to stop the apps running in the background that I'm not gonna use; even the system apps such as the "System Update" one (I've already disabled or uninstalled all the system apps that the OS allowed me to)! I personally found apps like Greenify to be useless because they mostly don't offer any "magical tricks" more than what you yourself can do on Android's Apps management section!
I currently use this device at least 5 or 6 hours a day and mainly read books and magazines on it using mostly Moon+ Reader Premium and Repligo Reader + a little bit of surfing the web on Opera and Firefox browsers, and I also might play some card games or sudoku sometimes! I rarely use the front-light and whenever I do turn it on, I'd just set it to the lowest level possible.
Also I suggest you guys turn off Wi-Fi whenever you're on the move or are not using the device to access networks (or at least disable "keep Wi-Fi on during sleep" or change its state to "Only when plugged in"). Forcing the device into connecting to the wireless networks that are far from you and/or their signal strengths are low will cause the hardware wireless module on any device to use more power and ultimately results in a faster battery drainage rate! This applies to cellphones too.
With this kind of usage and the considerations that I mentioned above, my device's battery level gets to as low as maybe ~30-60% after a week or even more (depends on how many hours and for what purpose I've used the device over the said 'week'; reading books certainly doesn't use much battery)! From my experience, when you're using phones/tablets that are running on batteries, only connect to the Wi-Fi networks that are close to you and/or have a high signal strength. I bet this device would get to 0% battery-level in a few days if I were to try for many hours every day to stay connected to our university's crappy wireless network which has a low signal strength over most of the parts inside the buildings!
BTW, mine is a T62+ (T62D) and is using the latest software update available at this moment.

Thanks for all the info. I think 30-60% after a week is amazing, i wish I can acomplish that. Could you please take a look to the pictures above and tell me if your device show a similar behavior with battery usage. In my case, even if the device is sleeping during hours when I look at battery usage it says that 95%-99% of the battery usage was for the screen. I dont know if this is the expected behavior in a eInk device.
