@K8HW - long shot - try downloading and installing calibre portable - it won't interfere with existing install, or use existing configuration data

If portable works, then something has broken in the 64bit install or the configuration folders - I cannot imagine what.

So, if portable works... I would download and install the 32bit version. It can coexist with the 64 bit, and it will use the existing configuration and libraries. If that works then its presumably something in the 64bit install - you could try doing a Repair on it or a Reinstall via uninstall/install.

If 32bit doesn't work then its presumably something in the configuration data . . . or the library itself, surely not

. . . I'll wait until you get back to us before further making suggestions.

If Portable doesn't work - then I'm stumped.
