I've never been that interested in reading Ruth Rendell's novels, but as Barbara Vine she was my favourite mystery writer. I felt compelled to look under 'V' for a new Barbara Vine book every time I browsed a book store.
It's sad to think there are going to be no more Barbara Vine novels.
