And I never buy kobo's kepubs directly, since getting burnt: I download epubs to my PC, even when buying from kobo, import them into calibre, clean them with sigil and calibre and add adequate metadata before downloading to the devices.

Interesting. I've noticed no issues with page turn speed issues with either epubs or kepubs on my H2O but my wife has mentioned that she thinks page turns are slower in kepubs on her Aura.
